Summary

Under the direction of the Installation and Projects Department Manager, the Jr. Project Manager will develop a thorough understanding of all Lasertube, Sawing, LTFREE, and used machines. Additionally, the position will also develop a thorough understanding of BLM GROUP departments, processes, business systems, and machine product lines. Assist internal and external customers in the planning, development, and execution of assigned machine projects to a high level of quality and customer service and actively participate in scheduled project manager professional development.

Essential Functions

The duties listed below are the specific duties and tasks that someone in this position must accomplish. The omission of specific statements of duties does not exclude them from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment to the level and/or class of this position.

•Responsible for assigned BLM machine sale projects from beginning to end including;
•Introduction calls with customers to define needs, expectations and project timelines.
•Pre-Installation technical communication and coordination with other departments, including a walkthrough with customers.
•Development and distribution of Lasertube, Sawing, LTFREE, and used machines project documentation and timelines to customers.
•Ensure job box installation and tool shipment planning is complete.
•Participate in pre-installation meetings and visits at customer locations.
•Project wrap up with customers.
•Attend and participate in internal project management meetings with other departments and various levels of management.
•Participate in the development and execution of a BLM quality system.
•Participate in the development and execution of department tracking projects.
•Prepare and send quotes for machine relocations and used machine installations.
•Collect purchase orders for machine relocations and used machine installations, open Microsoft Teams project channels, ensure shipping brackets are onsite, handling pre-installation calls, providing technical support during pre-installation, supervising Microsoft Teams channels, and maintaining continuous communication with customers.
•Ability to work overtime as needed.
•Ability to travel up to 20% as assigned by management.
•Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

•Bachelor’s Degree in a Technical field and/or Business Administration preferred. Prior experience or equivalent military training may be substituted for a degree.
•At least one year of experience in project coordination or project management, preferably in a manufacturing, industrial, automation, or technical field.
•Previous experience working with SAP is highly preferred.
•Hands-on experience with CNC laser cutting machines, sawing systems, and/or automation equipment is highly preferred.
•Professional certification(s) such as CAPM, PMP, and Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.

Licensing/Certifications

Valid Driver’s License with no more than two (2) points on a driving record within a three (3) year period

Knowledge, Skills, and other Abilities

•Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
•Knowledge of project software, preferably Microsoft Project and Gantt charts
•Possess basic 2D CAD software skills preferred
•Highly organized; thorough and efficient; methodical and detailed worker
•Able to work independently and effectively with minimal supervision
•Ability to create, maintain, and manage a project
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills
•Must be able to effectively listen, understand, and analyze problems
•Excellent time management skills
•Able to meet deadlines and communicate deadlines to other team members
•Able to effectively work with all levels of team members
•Fluent in Italian preferred but not required

The incumbent works primarily in an office environment. May occasionally work in a
manufacturing facility where the noise level may be moderate to loud.

The position requires approximately 20% travel. Travel may be local or out of State as required, by land or air.
